Open Position: React Native Developer | Ministry of Programming

Ministry of Programming builds startup software companies from the first line of code. We are a supercharged team of about 50 creative people and we are looking forward to bring a new one in to help us on our journey. Our mission is to deliver quality software efficiently, and to build amazing applications.

We are building next generation healthcare web and mobile applications that have a real impact on people's lives, and we are looking to expand our team. You will have large responsibilities from day one. What you do will have the actual impact on our users and Ministry of Programming as a company. Your opinions and ideas will matter.

As a developer, you will

Develop new user-facing features using React.js

Code-review your teammates

Write stories (use cases, technical and functional requirements), tests and code

Translate UI/UX wireframes into clean and efficient Sass/CSS

Help guide clients towards effective solutions that balance technical requirements and business needs

Attend development meetings (stand-ups, kick-offs, retrospectives) and design sessions with teams and clients

Inspire fellow colleagues, future clients, our students/interns, and the community at large by writing, speaking, contributing to open source software, and demonstrating our collective expertise and experience

Working with integrity respecting defined procedures and rules

As a candidate, you

Have experience with React Native iOS or Android

Possess strong JavaScript development and debugging skills

Are proficient with a JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular)

Have passion for helping others and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people

You might also

Have shipped applications to the App or Google Play Stores

Have created APIs that conform to the JSON API spec

Have interest in native mobile development (e.g. Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android

Enjoy teaching others and can clearly describe complicated software to your fellow developers

Have a passion for speaking publicly or blogging regularly
